This strategic move reinforces the company’s commitment to operational excellence, customer-centricity, and innovation in the ever-evolving chemical distribution market.
Dr. Pfaffernoschke joins the Executive Committee after serving as Managing Director of Safic-Alcan Deutschland GmbH and Safic-Alcan Switzerland AG, where he has successfully led the DACH-region since 2019. His extensive career spans roles in product development, technical service, and sales and marketing within the chemical industry, positioning him as a key player in driving growth and delivering value to Safic-Alcan’s partners.
Strategic Leadership to Drive Growth
Dr. Pfaffernoschke joined Safic-Alcan in Germany in 2019 as Head of Sales Performance Products, rapidly advancing to his current leadership role. During his tenure, he spearheaded initiatives that expanded Safic-Alcan’s footprint and strengthened its market position across critical regions.
Prior to his tenure at Safic-Alcan, Dr. Pfaffernoschke held leadership roles at SICPA, AkzoNobel/National Starch (now Nouryon), and Synthomer, where he managed global businesses across Personal Care, HI&I (Home, Industrial & Institutional), and Coatings. With a career that began at the lab bench in the printing inks industry, he has cultivated a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic acumen.

Dr. Pfaffernoschke is a native Berliner with a degree in Polymer Chemistry from the Technical University of Berlin and an MBA from SBS-Swiss Business School in Zurich. Beyond his professional achievements, he is an avid rower, runner, and reader who enjoys exploring Berlin’s waterways with his wife. Together, they have raised two children who are now pursuing their own careers.
