Safic-Alcan, a major distributor of specialty chemicals, announces that it has acquired 100% of Southern Chemicals, a leading South African specialty chemical distributor in the region.
Established in 1996 by Rod Proome, Southern Chemicals supplies industrial speciality chemicals and additives into industries such as polyurethane foams, industrial coatings, adhesives and elastomers.
With warehousing capabilities in Durban, Port Elizabeth, Johannesburg and Cape town, Southern Chemicals is very well positioned to sell and distribute specialty chemicals and additives across the region.
